Utkarsh’s pioneering bug consistently compelled him to go outside his comfort zone and explore new roads. Post their own dream wedding in 2012, Utkarsh and Ruchika realized how much they loved being a part of the wedding journey, and thus Plush Weddings was born!

While several luxury wedding planners now exist, what sets the team at Plush Weddings apart is the charismatic and bubbly personalities that comprise each team member. The creative team at Plush cultivates an atmosphere of relaxation for the clients as they create a one-of-a-kind extraordinary environment. This experienced team is capable of planning everything from a party of 2 to a party for thousands. No matter the size of the event, number of guests, or level of complexity, the team at Plush Weddings has been recognized as an industry leader to produce events that are polished, personalized and memorable. Ruchika and Utkarsh add, “Our couples might spend extra by hiring a wedding planner, but we ensure they spend it right and get the best value for money.”

Since their beginning in 2015, Plush Weddings has executed more than 200 dream weddings, with more than 75 of those being NRI weddings. Their strength lies in planning interfaith and inter-cultural weddings that amalgamate traditions — complete with all the quirks and eccentricities. Utkarsh says, “As a wedding planner, you have to build a very personal connection with the families. You have to envision the fairytale that the couple has in their dreams and turn it into a magical reality.” Ruchika adds “I love getting to know our clients and design to whatever beat they live their lives. The entire process for us is bespoke, as no two weddings are alike. From ‘The best wedding locations’ to ‘What to wear to a wedding?’, you have to be ready with a personalized recommendation for everything, and one that resonates with the client.”

With VIPs and social media influencers constantly serenading their followers with grand wedding celebrations, luxury Indian weddings have become more mainstream. From Bollywood big names to International artists; food spread from Banaras to pastry chefs flying in from France; weddings and celebrations arranged by Plush Weddings has given its guests flavours from different corners of the world!

While getting married in hot locations, such as Udaipur, can cost a boatload of money, several couples are now turning to heritage boutique properties across India & abroad or are choosing to marry in their ancestral homes or place where they first met. These fascinating destinations can provide a unique experience at an affordable price tag. Wedding planning has become an extremely competitive industry with several new and exciting entrants serving up fabulous events on a regular basis. Utkarsh says, “Despite being in a very competitive industry, wedding planners are very collaborative. We all understand that there is a big enough pie for everyone, and in order to succeed, we have to share our vision and ideas.”

The COVID pandemic hit the luxury wedding planning industry hard as several soon-to-be-married couples either delayed their weddings or got married on a much smaller scale. That said, since November 2020, the number of events has picked up pace rapidly.
